Happy Place adds International honour to UK win at International Property Awards 2019

[London, UK, 3rd December 2019] Following on from their success at the regional property awards in October this year, Happy Place Ltd were last night awarded ‘Best Interior Design Show Home” at UK and International levels. The show home, part of the London Dock development for St George City (part of the Berkeley Group) in Wapping, had previously scooped the regional (London) award and a 5 star award in the same category.

The show apartment project was delivered in March 2019 with less than three months from project sign off to delivery. The brief demanded a great deal of creativity to achieve the desired outcome for the client, of luxury mixed with East London edginess, all on a modest budget. Given the reality of a compact apartment layout, and the challenge of a short lead-time, a variety of British craftsman and suppliers were used to create a range of bespoke pieces, which enabled Happy Place to create a truly unique space with pieces that enhanced the aesthetic of the property.

Happy Place, the brainchild of two London based Aussie ex-pats Julia Ryan and Madelyn Dransfield, was launched just four years ago in 2015 but has already made a strong foothold in the industry, having worked on numerous luxury developments in London including 250 City Road and Woodberry Down for Berkeley Homes, and Chelsea Creek and Fulham Reach for St George.

Madelyn said “At Happy Place we pride ourselves on collaborate with key partners to deliver our projects, including architects, craftsman and, of course, our clients. We are passionate about designing for the client, not for ourselves, breathing new life into each space and ensuring projects are stylistically diverse and have personality and individuality.”
“We are therefore delighted to have been recognised for this project which brought together all those elements and delivered the project on time and within budget, resulting in a happy client”, added Julia.
